Remember, it's all facts !!
You don't have to leave your life-history, but it helps ! All information will be gratefully acknowledged, especially any on the impressive Collingwood Pillar in Alnwick Golf Course. (I have since been informed that it was built in 1814, and the mason was John Hall).
Feedback : apparently this "Camphill Tower" isn't the only tower to have been constructed at this highest point of Alnwick -- Stoneyhill Tower was an octagonal building, set behind where Camphill Cottage is now (by the Golf Course), and was an unfinished tower intended as an observatory.
Feedback from Scotland !! -- I have been informed that the Duke recently sold off some of his extensive properties in Fochabers (by the Moray Firth, to the east of Inverness). Now, if you start from Alnwick and draw a straight line through Fochabers, it just about gets to ... Alness !
